AnnouncementsExpansion in Fernley, NV location for large diameter pipe Gainesville, TX, May 12, 2005 – PolyPipe, Inc. announced plans today to expand its western US pipe plant to include large diameter pipe production. The expansion, at its existing Fernley, Nevada plant, will enable better service, delivery and pricing for large diameter pipes in the western markets for industrial, water, wastewater and mining uses. PolyPipe currently produces large diameter pipe up to 36 and 54 inches in diameter at its north Texas and Tennessee plants, respectively. PolyPipe expects to complete the expansion in the first half of 2006. “We’ll be able to better serve our customers for large diameter pipe in the west and this fits very well into our strategy to grow the business prudently,” said David Fordyce, PolyPipe Chief Executive. “This straightforward addition compliments our large diameter offering in the central and eastern US.” PolyPipe, headquartered in Gainesville, Texas, produces small and large diameter high-density and medium-density polyethylene pressure pipe with one of the broadest product lines in its industry. PolyPipe's products are used in a variety of end markets, including industrial, mining, water and wastewater, oil and gas production, and natural gas distribution. PolyPipe is currently one of only two national manufacturers of polyethylene pressure pipe, with seven manufacturing plants across the US.
