AnnouncementsExpansion in Central and Eastern Plants for Large Diameter Pipes Gainesville, TX, August 21, 2006 - PolyPipe, Inc. announced today that an expansion project is underway at its plants in Texas and Tennessee to increase large diameter capacity and capabilities to 63 inches. The projects are expected to be completed in spring of 2007. “The expansion project at our Erwin, Tennesee and Gainesville, Texas plants is a prudent growth investment to better serve the market’s growing need for large diameter polyethylene pressure pipe,” said David Fordyce, PolyPipe’s CEO, adding “This project is one of several we have planned to recognize the market’s growing acceptance of polyethylene pipe for water, wastewater and industrial applications.” Jay Leeds, Sales & Marketing Manager, said, “The new lines in Erwin and Gainesville will improve service to our valued customers by allowing broad, geographical coverage for PolyPipe to supply our customer’s markets nationwide. The features and benefits of large diameter polyethylene pipe allow project owners and designers a broader range of solutions for moving larger volumes with improved performance and higher confidence in their piping systems over traditional materials.” PolyPipe, one of the largest producers of both high density and medium density polyethylene pipe, has seven U. S. plant locations with a seventh plant presently under construction in Evansville, Wyoming. The company recently completed an expansion project at their Fernley, Nevada plant which added capacity in sizes up to 65 inch diameter coupled with an additional expansion of a smaller diameter line.
